“It’s never too late, in fiction or in life, to revise.”—Nancy Thayer
Now and again it occurs to me that life is not really working out the way I had imagined it would about 20, or even 10 years ago. Yet- here I am with the wonderful, the OK and the tedious. What I find difficult is accepting my reality gracefully while keeping positive enough to hatch a cunning new life plan. Some days are easier than others. Usually those when I’ve had ample sleep. However, the best days are when I am open to all the little things – the gift of a smile, my children chatting with each other, a hug from a loved one. These are the days to make plans and to marvel at the fact that I have options. To think of the small steps I need to take to make things happen. To look back and learn then place one foot in front of the other into the future.
